Hello to All Officials,

As some of you are aware we have had a couple issues as of late for either referee’s being late or not showing at all for their assigned games that they have accepted. In the past when this has occurred, the assignors and the committee has dealt with this, but unsure if this was communicated to all officials, we had some guidelines in place that we did use. Due to the recent events that have happened as of late this has placed US ALL in a tough position with Hockey Brandon and as a result the following Policy will take effect on Monday, January 23, 2012.

As an Official you have certain responsibilities when you accept a game,

1.       Show up at least 30 minutes prior to the schedule game time (failure to do so will result in a $10.00 fine). As the late showings increase so does the fines and the potential consequences

3rd TIME	Entire Game Fee	Games withheld and reviewed by RDC

 

2.       No shows for games are very unprofessional and could affect your development as an official. If you have accepted the game it is your responsibility to ensure that you make the game, however, certain circumstance will be reviewed.

 

In the event that you are unable to attend the scheduled game that you have accepted here is what you are required to do:

 

i)        Each game missed will be looked at a case by case issue – with the potential for discipline or fines resulting.

ii)       Have contact with the assignor NO LATER than 48 hours for cancelling out of accepted game.

iii)     As a result of failing to contact the assignor 48 hours prior to the scheduled games will result in the following fines being issued to the official
